We never set out to run a sanctuary. We set out to keep one promise to two unwanted goats. Eight years later, that promise has grown into ninety-three animals — and a family that reorganised its entire life around them.
The phone still rings with animals nobody else will take. And every single time, we have the same impossible conversation: do we have the room, the money, the energy? The answer is usually no. And usually, we say yes anyway.
The cost of a yes
Saying yes is not free. It means tighter budgets, longer days, and leaning hard on the kindness of people who believe in what we do. But we’ve learned that ‘full’ is a word that costs a life — and we can’t bring ourselves to say it.
Our home first, their sanctuary always. That’s the whole philosophy, really.
— The Kozak family

We can only keep saying yes because you keep saying yes with us. Every donation, every visit, every share is another animal who gets to hear it too.
