A whole summer of camp laughter

Twelve weeks, dozens of kids, and a herd that loved every minute of the company.

A whole summer of camp laughter

Our summer camps are part of how the farm keeps its lights on — but they’re so much more than a revenue line. They’re the sound of children learning that a gentle hand earns trust, and that caring for something is its own kind of fun.

This year we welcomed more kids than ever. Some had never touched an animal bigger than a house cat. By week’s end they were mucking stalls without being asked and naming favourites they cried to leave.

Growing the next generation of carers

Every camper plants a small seed of compassion that we hope grows for life. And every camp fee helps feed the very animals they spend the week falling in love with — a circle that simply works.

Skid who learns to be gentle with a goat learns to be gentle with the world.

— Our camp lead

By September the farm is quieter, and we miss the noise. But we hold onto the photos, the thank-you cards, and the knowledge that a few dozen kids went home a little kinder than they came.
